“The community support for this event is gratifying,” said Teri Whelan, Executive Director at SHO. “We are particularly pleased that as part of the production, each performance will include a cameo appearance by a notable Colorado resident. Each is willing to take the stage for us in order to show support for what we do here.”

One of a Kind Denver Theater Experience to be Major 2008 Fundraiser for SHO

This summer, SHO’s historic Barth Hotel will be the setting for performances of the award winning play, The HOT L Baltimore. One of the major fundraising efforts of 2008, the play will be presented in 18 performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights July 17th through August 23rd at 8:30 pm.

This award winning play written by Lanford Wilson, is a one of a kind Denver theater experience. Directed by Denver’s Terry Dodd and using the Barth Hotel’s existing furniture, fixtures and lighting as part of the stage, this production stretches the boundaries between daily living and a performance set. The funny and sentimental script tells the story of a group of lost souls – retired older people, misfits and prostitutes -- who inhabit the once-elegant hotel. Performance tickets for this event will be available this spring. For more information call us at 303-595-4464 x 10.

Performance tickets are available online and sponsorship opportunities are still available.
