Apartments for Seniors & Older
Adults with Disabilities
Our subsidized apartments include Emerson Gardens, The Decatur, September House, Servicios Housing, and The Olin. These apartments are subsidized by the Federal government and are designed for seniors and older adults with disabilities who enjoy living independently but need the financial help provided through the subsidy.
Rents
- Residents pay 30% of their adjusted monthly income.
- Monthly income is adjusted by medical or other eligible expenses.
- Rents are adjusted to reflect changes in resident’s income.
- Utilities are paid at all buildings.
Eligibility
- Recurring monthly income not greater than qualifications set by federal standard. (No fixed asset tests)
- Age 62 or an older adult with a disability.
- Meet federal screening requirements including income verification & background check.
- For The Decatur, September House and Servicios Housing, residents must also have a mental illness such as severe depression or schizophrenia.
Additional Services
- The Decatur & September House provide 1 meal a day.
- Additional supportive services such as medication assistance for individuals with mental illness.
- Upon request, reasonable accommodations are available under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
