THE FOUR WAY TEST

 

In 1932, Herbert J. Taylor created this test for his employees. It has been translated into over 100 languages and is revered by rotary clubs across the world.

 

Doug Young, a speaker sponsored by the LoDo Rotary Club came to present the Four-Way Test to our residents.

Several ethical situations that specifically apply to the residents were discussed including how they might be resolved with consideration and respect.

 

Four questions that we can apply when evaluating a possible solution to any problem:

1. Is it the TRUTH?

2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

 

Each of face difficult and confusing problems and sometimes need help finding the right solution. Our residents enjoyed the day and came up with several other ethical situations that will be addressed in the coming weeks in their Wellness Class.
